RAW IMAGE PROCESSING
Introduction:
We are going to process a camera RAW format image. Usually RAW images have more details and color information than JPEG. But if you see it before processing it will have very less details and color information. So we are going to see how to process a RAW image using Adobe Photoshop. I have this unprocessed RAW image of a hill.
Unprocessed RAW image
Step 1:
Initially you need to open photoshop and import your RAW image. You can just drag and drop from your folder.

Step 2:
Now your RAW image editor window will open. You can see the light in the image is too low.

Step 3:
First to make the image bright we need to increase the Exposure.
Step 4:
Next we need to increase to contrast to retain shadow details.

Step 5:
Then we need to decrease the highlights to retain the hill details.
Step 6:
Now we should tweak the shadows slider by doing this we can retain the details in the shadow areas.
Step 7:
After shadow the next one is Whites. By increasing the values of whites we can increase the amount of white color in the image.
Step 8:
Now we have to decrease the amount of blacks.
Step 9:
Next one is Texture by increasing the value of texture we can preserve the texture details of rock, grass etc.,
Step 10:
By tweaking this option we can bring the shadow details of the image.
Step 11:
Then we have to increase the dehaze value little bit.
Step 12:
In this step we have to increase the Vibrance value. By increasing this we can make the colors more vibrant.
Step 13:
At last we have processed the RAW image.
Final output
Step 14:
Now we are going to save the RAW image as JPG. For that you have to click the down arrow near open.

Step 15:
After clicking the arrow near Open you will get a dropdown we should select open as copy.
Step 16:
After clicking that the image will open in default Photoshop interface. Now we have to save it as JPG. Go to File > Export > Export As (or) ctrl+ shift+ alt + w.
Step 17:
Now the export window will open. We have to select JPG in format section.
Step 18:
In the quality section you can select the quality in which you have to save from Good to Great.
Step 19:
After applying the export settings you can see the blue color Export button.
Step 20:
Click Export and a pop up window will open you can set the destination to save the file.
